Home > Tutorial Index > Renaming Your Photos
If you just imported all the photos from your digital camera, you
may notice that you don't know what those photos are because of those
meaningless file names. With Firegraphic, you can rename all those
photos with a single operation using the batch rename command.
To change the name of your image:
- Select the image you want to rename.
- Under File, click Rename, or by right-clicking the
image and select Rename.

- Type the new name, and then press Enter.
To rename multiple images:
- Select the images you want to rename.
- Select File > Rename from the menu. The Batch Rename
Files dialog box appears.

- In the dialog box, type the new name in the prefix field for the
selected images; choose the starting number for the first selected
image, and choose how many zeros you want to place before the starting
number. You will see how the new name looks like at the bottom of
the dialog box.
- Click OK to rename.
